Checklist for shifters



-+ H8 Situation: - Access to the zone? - Closed, no beam? - Closed, beam on, no data taking? - Data Taking?

-+ FSM Check the FSM status (DCS, HV buttons)(navigate down the tree): any un-expected status? All ready but the tracker.

-+ HV Check if the dynodes are powered on at the right value. Not Powered. If they are not powered check that the voltage is compatible with what you expect: - about 167V for Dy11 (at 1000V); - about 100V for Dy12 (at 1000V). Check that the HV voltage and current is ok. {The expected iPK current for 4 ECs at 1000V is about 5332uA.}

Check that the current limit set in the crate (I0) is about 10uA more than the nominal one. Yes. {Remember when you are performing HV scan to change the maximum current accordingly.} Check the HV plots: - vPK - iPK (if HV on and beam on: check Delta(iPK): should not exceed about 5 muA) Check that the values are correctly updated and archived in WinCC.

-+ HV/LV Check Power Supplies overview: any un-expected status? no, everything it's green Check the current of the PDMDB is fine. (when everything it's configured and running the expected currents of DB are 2,6A while for trigger board is 0.7A). OK

-+ TEMPERATURE Check temperature plots for the last 8 hours: - BaseBoard Top - BaseBoard Bottom - Cooling In - Cooling Out - BoxBottom - Box Environment Check that the values are correctly updated and archived in WinCC.

Before Closing Access: Report cooling fluid temperature: [ ] Report cooling fluid flow: [ ] Report nitrogen flow: [ ]

--+ Data taking

Check that the file are correctly written in the disk (the correct directory is /localdisk):

-+ Storage

If you cannot find them in localdisk, check if they are in /tmp: If they are in /tmp directory from the MiniDAQ top panel, click on MEP, lbrichtb02, and change the path. Click on set. If you are taking a scan, check that all the files corresponding to each step are created, (if some of the files from the scan are missing, take again the missing runs For scans check also that the file size is the same for all the files. If the size of one file is different from the others, take again that step.

-+ Online monitoring

Is the online monitoring open and running? Look at the total map and the number of hits distributions. Check that the pattern on the total map is what you expect. Check the bitindex plot. This plot shows the number of hits for each event as a function of the bit index in the file. If everything is fine, you should see not empty bins. Each link corresponds of 100 bits (link0=(0,100), link1=(100, 200), ...). Of these 100 bits only 85 (86) bits are used to save the hits on each channel of the MaPMTs. Check that there are no holes in the bitindex plot. If there are holes, identify to which links correspond. Try to reload the firmware on the corresponding FPGA and realign the phases.

-+ Offline

Run the offline on the data and check that all the number of hits for each PMT, total number of hits and total map histograms and bitindex are fine.
