Run Database
This twiki page is supposed to explain the usage of the Run Database.
What is it?
It is a dedicated database used for storing information information about the fills, runs and event files during the lifetime of the experiment. It is the central point for controlling the file migration to the Offline world and event file usage in the Online System.
How to use it?
It can be controlled as a service (this will start both the XMLRPC and DIMRPC interfaces to the database):
/etc/init.d/rundb [ start | stop | restart ]
The logging information is put in the /var/log/storage log file.
The database software is installed on store03 in the /opt directory.
