v4.0 - Monolayer design with dead regions (experimental)
This version is an improved design of
v2.0
as a result of the
SciFiHarmonisation Workshop.
It has a stepwise beamhole (before: circular) and comes in three different versions:
FTv40:
- no 'triangles', i.e. horizontal border between top and bottom fibermat
- no 'sawtooth', i.e. the top and bottom modules are cut at the same y-value
FTv41
- no 'triangles', with 'sawtooth'
FTv42
- with 'triangles', with 'sawtooth'
All versions are available in the DDDB since release dddb-20141016.
In FTv4 the modules are concerned by the "StereoIssue", which means
that X modules and U,V modules have different dimensions, which is not correct from
construction point of view. In fact, all modules (X,U,V) will have the same dimension in x,y and z.
This issue is the major design problem of FTv4, which was released to DDDB too early.
In FTv5 and later this issue is solved.
FTv4 will be / is superseded by FTv5.
