Physics Software Release Schedules
This page documents release schedules agreed at the
Physics Applications Coordination
meetings. Details of the contents of future releases can be found in

master branch
- master branch is for updates targeting run 3
- Improvements and fixes relevant to run 1+2 analysis or reconstruction can be back ported to run2-patches branch on demand
- Release of stack up to Moore and DaVinci ASAP.
- Urania (v10r0) with Python 3 support: week of 22nd February 2021
- Gauss/Sim10: week of 1st Marco 2021
run2-patches branch for runs 1+2 analysis (branch created in spring 2018 after freezing of 2018-patches)
- Any new developments for run 1 and run 2 analysis and/or reprocessing should target this branch
- Improvements and fixes relevant to run 3 analysis or reconstruction can be forward ported to master branch on demand
- Release of stack up to DaVinci week of 22nd February 2021
2018-patches branch for 2018 incremental stripping and patches to Moore and Brunel in 2018 simulation workflows
- Next DaVinci release, featuring consolidation of all Run2 IFT stripping and 2015, 2016 and 2018 stripping, in preparation.
2017-patches branch for 2017 incremental stripping and patches to Moore and Brunel in 2017 simulation workflows
- Next release not currently planned, can be done on demand
2016-patches branch for patches to Brunel and stripping S28r1 in 2016 simulation workflows
- Next DaVinci release, featuring consolidation of S28r1(p1) stripping, is ready in the nightlies, can be done on demand.
hlt2016-patches branch for patches to Moore in 2016 simulation workflows
- This branch is frozen, no new releases planned other than fixes to software preservation issues.
stripping24r2-28r2-patches branch for 2015 and 2016 restripping and future incremental stripping
- Next DaVinci release, featuring consolidation of S24r1(p1) stripping, in preparation.
reco15-patches + hlt2015-patches branch for patches to Brunel and Moore in 2015 simulation workflows
- Next release not currently scheduled, can be done on demand.
stripping24-patches branch for patches to stripping 24r1 in 2015 simulation workflows
- This branch is obsolete, no new releases planned other than fixes to software preservation issues.
reco14-patches branch for patches to Brunel in Run1 simulation workflows and 2013-patches branch for patches to IFT stripping in Run1 workflows
- Next release of stack up to Brunel planned ASAP, once Brunel FSR issues are fixed.
- Next DaVinci release, featuring consolidation of all Run1 IFT stripping, in preparation.
