Technical criteria for LHCb T2-D sites:

The criteria that T2-D sites agree to meet are set out in the LHCb internal note on T2-D sites, and are reproduced here:

  • At least 100TB of storage in the first instance, rising to at least 300TB by the end of the following year
  • Once accepted, the site will satisfy the WLCG Tier-2 MoU criteria for site availability and reliability. Currently, this is to achieve at least 95% availability averaged over the last year. These figures will be taken from the LHCb WLCG SAM tests. For new T2-D sites, the criteria will be achieved for the previous quarter.

  • The site will participate in LHCb perfSonar monitoring. At present we do not have the experience to set targets for bandwidth tests. These will be defined in a future iteration.

These metrics will be monitored via the LHCb SSB page
