How to create the efficiency ratio tables

  • Copy this directory: /afs/cern.ch/user/j/jvantilb/public/efficiency
  • Run these commands in root
.L effRatio.C++
effRatio("Velo","2010")
effRatio("Velo","2011")
effRatio("Tstation","2010")
effRatio("Tstation","2011")
  • This will produce four 2D histograms with the efficiency ratios and errors.
  • The next step is to combine these tables. The final efficiency ratio for long tracks is the product of the two Velo efficiency and the T-station efficiency.
  > python -i combineEff.py 2010
  > python -i combineEff.py 2011
  • The output of this step are two root files (ratio2010.root and ratio2011.root) which contain the final efficiency ratios.
