Instructions for New Users to use the VELO HV setting tools
1) Open a main HV overview panel by right-clicking VELOA(C)_HV:

This brings up the VELOA(C)_HV overview screen. This panel describes the overall status of the A(C) side HV system.

2) Double-click on the HV board you want to operate to get the corresponding PVSS panel; enable only the channels to be used and the Configuration Database (ConfDB).

If the ConfDB is in state "NOT_READY", please LOAD it:

3) Click on the IV curve button (bottom right) to perform an I-V scan; when you select a channel to scan, a filename is automatically suggested (look in the frame):

4) Just replace the question marks with the proper temperature (but check that the rest of the name is correct).
5) Click on the ADD button to save the file name (if you don't add it, it won't be saved!). Example:

6) You can also display the results of a past scan for the same slot: select the corresponding channel and then choose
one of the suggested file (or browse a directory by clicking the folder icon).

7) Select the next channel to scan and repeat point (4), (5) and (6).
8) Push the START button to perform the scan.
9) Once the IV scan has been done, close the panel and go back to the Board Panel; switch on the enabled channels by sending the command Go_STANDBY1 (=10 V) or Go_STANDBY2 (=50 V) or Go_READY(=100 V) from the top button. See for example the figures below:
