Testbeam Schedule 2006

The VELO 2006 testbeam will operate complete VELO halves, with partial readout (20 TELL1s) in the secondary SPS beam at the North Hall in the CERN Prevessin site. The official LHCb request for beam time can be seen here:

The SPS schedule for 2006, as of March 2005, can be seen here. The possible time slots for the VELO fall in June or possibly July.

We have been allocated a possible area in the North Hall which can be seen here. The area currently has remaining in it a very large table, plus some cables and pipes. These will be removed. There is also an adjacent counting barrack, and potential gas cage which are being cleared.

Details about the beam characteristics can be found on the division web page. This has links to the individual beam pages (H2, H4, H6, H8 in EHN1 and M2 for COMPASS, P42+K12 for NA48/xx and P41/P61 for NA60).

There is also a table with a summary of the characteristics.

From the section homepage there is an interesting link to Adrian's North Area page (from the frame on the left hand side), which contains lots of useful information.
