2007 ECT Workshop on Photoproduction

Joakim Nystrand (Joakim.Nystrand at ift.uib .no) noted that the upsilon(2s) could provide a small background contribution to the exclusvie ee analysis. There are two generator's that can simulate photoproduction in pp: DPMJETIII (must get code from author, Ralph.Engel at ik.fzk.de), and STARLight (Joakim must edit to include pp).

Theorist Mark Strikman does not believe we did the exclusive dijet analysis fairly - he feels the proton breakup component is significant... Otto Nachtmann said "I am not responsible for the misuse of my models" in reference to Saclay's exclusive diffraction model.

Stanley Brodsky (sjbth at slac.stanford.edu) seems to be a wealth of knowledge! Note to self: Collaborate with him if the opportunity ever arrises.

Ute Dreyer (ute.dreyer at unibas.ch), a student at Uni. Basel, presented a study of single W production (pp to p + W + n via gamma-W). This should be observable by looking at just the number of tracks on the W vertex - because it will be just a single lepton! (Can ATLAS reconstuct a vertex with one track?)

Carlos.Lourenco (carlos.lourenco at cern.ch) and Pedro (Froto) Ramalhete (pram at mail.cern.ch) are working on getting UPC collisions from NA60. I will help them with their analysis.
