AbcnNiDaq is a software suite developed in developed in LabVIEW to test the ABCN chip, from the single-chip-board to modules with 80 chips each.

How to access the repository

TIPHands-on instructions to access the abcnNiDaq svn repository based on http://svn.web.cern.ch/svn/howto.php#accessing.

Accessing for linux users:

  • login to lxplus
  • if the variable SVNROOT is already set (typically I have it set in my .zshrc to "svn+ssh://sevilla@svn.cern.ch/reps/atlasoff")
    • unset SVNROOT
  • svn co svn+ssh://svn+ssh://svn.cern.ch/reps/abcnNiDaq

Access for Windows users (Tortoise SVN)

Configuration of windows environment variables:

  • open the environment variables tab:
    • right click in "My Computer" -> "Properties" -> "Advanced" -> "Environment variables"
  • configure the SVN_SSH variable to C:\\Program Files\\TortoiseSVN\\bin\\TortoisePlink.exe

Configuration of pageant with private ssh keys:

  • run C:\Program Files\PuTTY\puttygen.exe selecting:
    • Type of key to generate: SSH-2 RSA
    • Number of bits in generated key: 2048
  • once the key is generated, set the key passphrase
  • save the private (sevilla_rsakey.ppk) and public (sevilla_rsakey.pub) generated keys to disk
  • run C:\Program Files\PuTTY\pageant.exe
  • right-click on the icon in the system-tray -> "Add key" and select the file with the private key (passphrase will be requested)
  • put pageant.exe in the Startup menu so that it's automatically loaded every time you login in windows
    • note that the key should be added every time pageant is started

Configure Tortoise SVN:

  • go to "Tortoise SVN Settings" -> "Network"
  • set SSH client to C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\TortoisePlink.exe -l sevilla
  • password-less: set SSH client to C:\Program Files\TortoiseSVN\bin\TortoisePlink.exe -l sevilla -pw PASSWORD

Checkout

  • right-click and from the context-menu select "SVN checkout"
  • set URL of repository to svn+ssh://svn.cern.ch/reps/abcnNiDaq
  • set Checkout directory as appropriate
  • set Checkout Depth to Fully recursive
  • select a Revision:
    • HEAD revision for the latest revision
