Here's a MET summary plot a-la Ted's showing the current performance of my HPD discharge ID, which so far uses only HCal energies.

  • Black = MET before clean up
  • Red = MET after removing the cells in the most-likely HPD discharge pattern identified.

The efficiency of this cut in JetET30 MC is: (1.1 +/- 0.1) %

The data is CRUZET 3, run 51203, taken with HPD noise trigger (see http://indico.cern.ch/getFile.py/access?subContId=2&contribId=2&resId=0&materialId=1&confId=37644)

Overflows are folded into the edge bins (hence the spike at the last bin in the black curve).

Caveat: MET correction made with the temporary simplification of assuming all cell eta widths are 0.087. At the very edge this puts in eta=2.39 instead of 2.82.
