Getting started
You'll need to do some online safety training. They're all here, and you should do 1, 2 and 3 at least:
Once you've done that, then you can start applying for access to places. ATL_SR1 and ATL_CR will get you into SR1 (the test lab) and the Control Room respectively. Apply for access using EDH:
NB: your NICE account will only get you
into EDH. If you want to actually
submit any requests, you'll need a second "authorisation" password. It won't actually be set up at first, so email tech support:
ais.support@cernNOSPAMPLEASE.ch

If you want to work on the Detector Control System then you'll need the software to run it. It's called PVSS, and you can get it for free from this link. Make sure you're registered as an authorised user. Ask Phil about that, as he's our "Technical Contact Person":
