Meeting CERN Local SUSY Working Group, 30-May-2006
30-MAY-06, 13:15-15:00, 40-R-C10
During the recent rush, Jamie an others identified a number of
issues, which are listed below (what's missing ?).
- On AOD/EventView/SUSYView:
- ETmiss in ATLFAST seems to be wrong
- give feedback to ATLFAST production team on corrupted files
- jet reconstruction issues
- PID issues (in particular photon ID)
- identify the topology we are interested in, and understand combinatorics
- speed
- On SFrame:
- define the most suitable Cycle structure
- finalise completely general event-weighting algorithm
- define selection Cycle
- fully integrate TMVA
- On MC production:
- find j4, Z+jets, W+jets, tt+jets fully simulated AOD samples
- understand low cross section of SU3 sample (seem to be ok)
- once the tools are validated (in particular SUSYView and before), we need to develop a plan for efficient ntuple production and analysis; this includes automised quality control of the samples (full simulation and ATLFAST)
- use the new CAT computing resources advertised by Markus
in particular learn to use the Castor pool disks (this must be coordinated with the other CATPhys groups, to avoid duplication).
- On CSC notes:
- physics: 1 lepton inclusive, and 2+ leptons (semi)exclusive analyses
- detector: lepton-id, ETmiss reco (including fake ETmiss)
- Other issues:
- we should also begin to think about how we can extract a signal
- don't miss tomorrow's SUSY meeting
