Bad Run List

This is a preliminary list of bad runs taking into account the Tracker calibration and other basic run parameters. The requirements for rejecting a run and tagging it as bad are:

  • BadTag : Not a science run : run tag different from F###
  • BadCal : Total variable bad strips > 7500 (the standard number is 6979 and for calibrations taken at the SAA this number is large and correlated)
  • BadEntries : Difference between number of entries in the file and total events: (events - entries)/events>0.1
  • BadTime : Run duration < 10 min (in nominal conditions should be ~23 min, for older runs 30 min)

This kind of selection rejects 7% of the livetime.

The Preliminary list of bad runs (one run could have more than one associated root file) is available in the Attached File. The list has 5 columns showing:

Run Number BadTag BadCal BadEntries BadTime
where the last 4 columns are booleans. The list has been made from files from:
  • 2011B/ISS.B530/pass2 (From 1305817434 to 1311785075) 5275 files
  • 2011B/ISS.B530/std (From 1311786564 to 1315992855) 3157 files

The BadEntries has a different behaviour from pass2 (1,4%) and std (2.17%). Following this reasoning less runs will be rejected once the pass2 is done for all runs.
