Siewyan: produced data/MC plot. Great differences, discussion with Ugo lead to mistakes in computations

Same sign dileptons

Ugo gave presentation on exo group meeting. Method recognized to work, no substantial objection, 15% systematic uncertainties (remarkable since 40% was the state of the art), dominated by CR statics (will be reduced with 2018 data). Still not unblinded due to further refinement needed. Probable competitiveness with ATLAS in type-III Majorana neutrino studies. Polishing the documentation.


Siewyan: last week presented the Sherpa studies. Validation unsuccessful since GEANT do not accomodate Sherpa.


Siewyan: Test bean activities last week. DT tested (the new one). Triggerless read out to follow.



No news from hardware. Software studies started for high lumi. Longevity studies at p5 with new setting of current. HV moved from 3.6kV to 3.5k, efficiency still over 95%, no aging in the tubes studies. Now trying with monotubes for gas aging studies. Over a period of 2-3 months the current is slowing going down. Not clear how to extrapolate to High Lumi. Status of data taking at p5 is quite stable and do not show deterioration in the gain. All the result summarized: decrease in efficiency small if no background source, but quite large if beam + background are present.
