Special Usage options: Kill jobs

Introduction

If jobs have been submitted wrongly and should not be executed, the user can kill them using CRAB. Using the Condor-G direct submission, it is necessary to kill jobs of status Aborted.

Kill jobs

The following command kills job number 1

crab -kill 1 -c

where 1 can be replaced with any combination of job numbers and job ranges separated by comma (Example: 1,2,3-4). To specify a directory of a specific CRAB project, use

crab -kill 1 -c <directory>

The standard output should look like:

crab. crab (version 1.4.2) running on Mon Mar 19 14:43:26 2007

crab. Working options:
  scheduler edg
  job type CMSSW
  working directory /uscms/home/gutsche/work/software/CRAB/test/CMSSW_1_2_0/src/crab_0_070319_131654/

crab. Killing job # 1
crab. Log-file is /uscms/home/gutsche/work/software/CRAB/test/CMSSW_1_2_0/src/crab_0_070319_131654/log/crab.log
