Material for Ed's talk on cosmics

  • Fabiola's talk on Atlas commissioning with first physics data (cosmics). Here you will find general ideas on what can be done with cosmics in the different subdetectors - including Muons and ID
  • A Muon specific talk by Jean Francois
  • Some slides from Pippa Wells with the main milestones for commissioning ID. The important info here is on slide 4, where you have the milestones for ID installation in the pit
  • A talk by Michael Hauschild on ID commissioning with cosmics in SR1 (it's a surface building close to Point 1 where ID will be assembled): here you'll find infos on the different detector configurations for cosmics data taking (following the id assembly schedule), cosmic rates, simulation and reconstruction.
  • Some more detailed info on the ID offline status for cosmics.
  • An older talk from Nectarios on cosmic muons studies with ID
  • On combined ID + Muons with cosmics: no study so far. The main message here should be that the new common Event Data Model is a crucial milestone to simplify future combined studies, since it will minimize the amount of sw development needed. You can find detailed info on the common EDM (from the ID point of view) in /afs/; as for the muons, look through the talk given by Niels in Cetraro (the EDM Status and plans in the General sw Issues meeting on friday plus the material in the reconstruction framework session on tuesday
