Triggers in 2015

To cope wit increased energy, luminosity and pile-up, it is important to get feedback on various topics from the physics groups! What studies are required:

  • Check the signal efficiency for your preferred analysis using the standard trigger running in 2012 and changing the L1 requirements.
  • For example, increasing the thresholds to the proposed values for luminosities of 1e34, 2e34 and 3e34 or implementing topological cuts at L1.
  • The proposed L1 menus can be found here.

Samples

Here is a list of samples at 14 TeV generated with both 25 and 50 ns bunch spacing which are available for studies (e.g. L1Topo studies).

Signal MC

Signal samples with 7/8 TeV can be used for first studies regarding L1Topo algorithms, impact on analyses etc. The variables needed for L1Muon studies can be found here. For L1Calo related studies, the code for making ntuples is explained in detail here.
