Access to LXPLUS and Manchester HEP machines

From Linux/Mac computer

Open a terminal and write:

ssh -Y (LXPLUS)
ssh -Y (Manchester) (where X can be 3 or 4)

From Windows computer

Install PuTTY and XMing. Start XMing so it is running in the background which allows to use GUI when connecting on remote machines, then start PuTTY.

In Host Name (Category: Session) write: (LXPLUS) / (Manchester) (where X can be 3 or 4)

In Category: Connection>SSH>X11 check the "Enable X11 forwarding". Finaly click "open" to connect.
