• HW - implementatiion in VHDL (resp: Wojtek)
  • SW - simulation in CMSSW (resp: Artur)
  • LLH - likelihood.
  • hit - a digi in given muon station. In case of DT/CSC contsing both position and bending (pattern for CSC)
  • ref hit - a hit (position only) taken as reference. All positions al calculated wrt to the reference position
  • measurement hit - any hit taken into account during LLH calculation

Features missing implementation in HW:

  • phiRef should be transfered to the end of sorter chain - a final candidate has to know it
  • bending value should not be shifted by the reference layer position now bending layers are not implemented in HW
  • common pdf for position+bending: in SW now both hit position and bending have to fit into pdf range for hit to be accepted
  • priority given to CSC and DT: in SW if there is a candidate found with CSC or DT as reference layers, the RPC ref layers not tested at all this prioritization could be done by ref hit ordering, or modificatino of pdf values for the RPC reflayers
  • range check for istPhi: in SW range check is done after subtracting phi_ref and mean distPhi, in HW the check is done after subtracting each number. Can be possibly important differecne

Features missing implementation in SW:

* phi should be in range -512:+511. Now this is 0-1023 for deltas, and 0-4095 for phi in digi
