USTC goals

Phase 1

  • Plot panel efficiency as a function of run and time - done
  • Plot trigger efficiency and timing as a function of run and time - done

Phase 2

  • Add checks (tables and plots) to spot RPC panels and trigger sectors with changing efficiency - done
  • Fully functioning website with plots updated (manually) as new runs are taken - done

Phase 3

  • Continue to improve website with feedback from experts - in progress
  • Correlate detector hardware information from DCS (status, voltage and threshold) with RPC panel efficiency measurements- in progress
  • Migrate website to official location and add automated updates - to be done

Workflow

DESDM_MCP

  • Run athena jobs over DESDM_MCP to produce efficiency histograms
  • Run analysis macros to populate website
    • Website with RPC performance plots: http://atlasui02.na.infn.it:8088/~l1mu/
    • Website is populated by code from the MuonTriggerValidation package running at Naples T2
    • Marino Romano from Bologna manages code and cron jobs at T2
  • Run analysis macros to study RPC performance
    • To be developed by USTC
    • Input are histograms from the website or produced by hand at USTC T3
