Summer 2011:
Intermediate results and information:
HSG5 SVN area for analysis code
HSG5 SVN area for documentation
Quick instructions to handle note drafts in SVN
One can browse the HSG5 area
here with Trac
. The HEAD of the code is stored in
trunk/
directory. All the various snapshots are stored in the
tags/
directory.
If commiting/tagging a change to a note or associated code, please consider following these steps:
- Initial setup:
export SVNROOT=svn+ssh://"USERNAME"@svn.cern.ch/reps/atlasphys
- (e.g.: for user jgoncalo
export SVNROOT=svn+ssh://jgoncalo@svn.cern.ch/reps/atlas-jgoncalo
)
- OLD: (e.g.: for user jgoncalo
export SVNROOT=svn+ssh://jgoncalo@svn.cern.ch/reps/atlasphys
)
- Setup editor:
export SVN_EDITOR="emacs -nw"
- Check out a 'tagged' version e.g.:
svn co $SVNROOT/Physics/Higgs/HSG5/data_7TeV/ATL_COM_PHYS_2010_292/tags/ATL_COM_PHYS_2010_292-00-00-XX
- Make changes to code/note
- Edit
ChangeLog
, in emacs CTRL-x 4 a
creates blank entry. Ensure new proposed tag is written in to ChangeLog
and all Modified/Added files listed. Try to describe your change in words.
- Check no merge conflicts (C) e.g.:
svn status
- Now make sure you are in the directory where the
ChangeLog
file is, then switch to the HEAD of the TRUNK (Gets changes from HEAD in trunk/ to local copy):
svn switch $SVNROOT/Physics/Higgs/HSG5/data_7TeV/ATL-COM-PHYS-2010-292/trunk
- Re-check no merge conflicts (C) e.g.: e.g.:
svn status
- if any files appear with a 'C' against them you MUST resolve this conflict before proceeding!
- Commit to SVN e.g.:
svn ci -m "See ChangeLog"
- Tag in SVN:
svn cp $SVNROOT/Physics/Higgs/HSG5/data_7TeV/ATL_COM_PHYS_2010_292/trunk $SVNROOT/Physics/Higgs/HSG5/data_7TeV/ATL_COM_PHYS_2010_292/tags/ATL_COM_PHYS_2010_292-XX-YY-ZZ
- where ZZ at least is a new number.
- Then, ion the case of a note, the .pdf should then be replaced here in CDS
.

Looking at rates from older runs:
1. Using WTRP
https://atlasop.cern.ch/atlas-point1/wmi/current/WTRP_wmi/
- Root macros from Tomasz in lxplus:
$ ~tbold/public/draw_rates.py -p http -a 145981, see also
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Atlas/TriggerOnlineExpertManual#Trigger_rate_monitoring
For example, this command on lxplus will plot b trigger rates:
$ ~tbold/public/draw_rates.py -p http -a 155116 -l
$ ~tbold/public/draw_rates.py -p http -a 155116 -r "L2 L2_b.*output" --smooth=50
- Same source, but using TRP for displaying, in lxplus:
~aagaard/public/rateHistory/rateHistory.sh <runnumber>
- Last 24 hours including DAQ info in TRP, but only at 1 minute intervals:
pcatr: ~aagaard/ISMirror/rates.sh
