Current Versions

Start Test Bench

* Enter linux commands:

  • cd ~/GENEVA/TBenchDAQ/v0r5/cmt
  • sod106
  • ss
  • daq
* On TDAQ window click BOOT
* Open Testbench panel
* Enter correct ROD board ID and update dababase by clicking on floppy symbol (bottom right)
* On TDAQ window click CONFIG
* On TDAQ window click START
* Wait until tests finished
* If test failed click SHUTDOWN on TDAQ window and restart procedure
* In case of major mess-up EXIT from TDAQ window, type killbill in xterm and restart TDAQ by typing daq in xterm

Program FPGA via JTAG chain

* the following instruction is also valid for later releases of LargOnline
* open terminal and type (works currently only as root):
* ssh largrod3
* su
* cd /data/soft/LargOnline/releases/LargOnline-108-22-02/admin/cmt/
* source
* cd /data/soft/LargOnline/releases/LargOnline-108-22-02/Tools/cmt/
* source
* check version with:
* ../i686-slc4-gcc34-opt/scanCrate -A (entire crate) or ../i686-slc4-gcc34-opt/scanCrate -R10 (slot 10)
* program FPGAs with:
* ../i686-slc4-gcc34-opt/jp -aPROGRAM -r10 /home/rod4/jbcFiles/oc_epc2_421.jbc
* ../i686-slc4-gcc34-opt/jp -aPROGRAM -r10 /home/rod4/jbcFiles/output_fpga_070905.jbc
* ../i686-slc4-gcc34-opt/jp -aPROGRAM -r10 /home/rod4/jbcFiles/ttc_lar_v2417_21sept09.jbc
* after that, reboot crate

* jbc files from the ATLAS network can be obtained like this:
* login to
* choose for example machine pc-lar-pm-emba-01
* copy files from /atlas-home/1/lardaq/bazan/jbcFiles/

show local users and pwds:
use mysql

creat local DB:
mysqladmin -u root -p create productionTest
copying the LAPP database to a local db:
mysqldump -h -u atlas -p productionTest | gzip > productionTest.gz
import to local mysql:
gunzip < productionTest_190208.gz | mysql -u atlas -p productionTest

connect to local DB: mysql -u atlas -p
DB files are physically located in /var/lib/mysql
