ROOT Tutorial at IRMM - Bruxelles 4th-8th March 2013

This tutorial aims to provide a solid base to efficiently analyse data with ROOT. After an introduction to the C++ programming language, the main features of the ROOT toolkit are characterised: from histogramming to advanced fitting techniques.

Material for the course

The slides of the lectures will be made available as hands-outs and in electroinc form. In addition, a "Diving into ROOT: a ROOT Guide for Beginners" will be distributed to the participants (in electronic form here PDF). This guide is a valuable support for the course: the basics of ROOT are discussed and simple examples are provided.
