then follow instruction here: AthenaROOTAccess. Do not forget to add all additional 14.2.0 tags in AthenaROOTAccess/cmt/requirement, then do gmake all.

Get AOD with dq2

Get list of datasets from here:

AOD analysis with CBNT_AAN

We give in this section simple tools to produce a root file from AOD's (or DxPD, x=1,2), for single top analysis. This example was largely inspired from here: WorkBookAODAnalysisRel14.

First install code:

  • Install PhysicsAnalysis/AnalysisCommon/AnalysisExamples package following these instructions.

  • Get tarball for single top analysis here, then untar it in PhysicsAnalysis/AnalysisCommon/AnalysisExamples directory.

  • The code used for producing a simple single top root file from AOD is listed below:
   AnalysisExamples/singletop.h   # --> main single top code
   src/singletop.cxx   # --> main single top code
   run/   # main jobOption
   run/singletop_fdr08_run2.0052290.physics_Muon.merge.AOD.o3_f8_m10._0007.1.root    # --> an example of output root file

  • go to cmt/ and compile (gmake)

  • go to run/ and produce a root file out of the AOD: >& log_singletopexample &

  • an example of output is given here

Event mixing bug

See useful info here. In brief for single top t-channel process, the production cross section is raised from 80 pb to about 1747 pb for 30-seconds luminosity blocks (runs 4, 5) and to about 913 pb for 1-minutes blocks (runs 1, 2).
