Project description: I would like to create a platform/hub to promote STEM among young people with strong focus on attracting more women to STEM disciplines. This platform would provide access to online resources like video tutorials, online training and downloads on STEM related areas (mostly computer science, engineering and physics). It will also provide role models with interviews, videos and podcasts with women experts in STEM. The platform will also collect available online resources with pointers to relevant articles, projects, initiatives, etc referring to gender related issues in STEM. The goal is to have a flexible platform that would integrate existing community efforts and would allow for external collaboration with other universities, institutes, etc intested in promoting gender equality in STEM. I hope this master will teach me the necessary skills to develop the content of this platform, improving and extending existing material.
