Quick course for Hanna

  1. Open DDV, set like this and get text output.
  2. Go to here and do testDDV_element.py and testDDV_alias.py and check the results.
  3. Read HV,HVcurrent, Hybrid_Temperature from DDV and make plots like this examples.
  4. Select out HV-ON periods and get average values of HV, HVcurrent and Tsensor based on this example.
  5. Normalize HVcurrent to leakage current per cm 3 at 0oC using the temperature scaling and make a plot like this, in which the 2015 bump disappeared.
  6. Make a program of the Sheffield model (see Appendix C of ATL-COM-INDET-2016-035.2) for a sample temperature_radiation case and get a plot like SCTBarrel_leakage_prediction (no need to plot Ts simultaneously).
  7. Find Ph.D thesis of Univ. of Sheffield (submitted Oct. 2001) by Robert Harper. Check if Appendix C of ATL-COM-INDET-2016-035.2 is consistent with the formulae given in section 4.7.2 (Leakage current) of Harper's thesis.
  8. Make a program of the Hamburg model for leakage current (see Hamburg_model_v2.pdf) with sample temperature_radiation case and get a plot like Sample_Hamburg.png (no need to plot Ts simultaneously).
  9. Copy stable delivered luminosities of all pp runs since 2010 from run-1 summary, run-2 summary etc and make a run_luminosity list (like this).
  10. Get conversion factors of luminosity to n-equivalent fluence at the module position from FLUKA simulation results ( at 7, 8TeV and at 13 TeV) and make a plot like intLumi_fluence.png.
  11. (This step can be skipped) Copy all 16 files in /afs/cern.ch/user/k/kondo/public/Hanna. Do "> source HVON.sh". In about 20 minutes, many txt and png files (including HVON_Lumi_ALL.txt(2020.5.24updated) for next step) will be created.
  12. Copy luminosity-temperature data file of HVON_Lumi_ALL.txt(2020.5.24updated) and then execute like " > root -l -q -b plot_HVON_Lumi.C " to get plots like HVON_HVcurrent.png , HVON_5in1.png etc.
  13. Perform Hamburg model simulation and compare with data to get comparison plots like Leakcurrent_data_model_13121.png.
  14. Make a program of the Sheffield model for leakage current for a sample temperature_radiation case and get a plot like Sample_Sheffield.png (no need to plot Ts simultaneously).
  15. Perform Sheffield model simulation and compare with data to get comparison plots like Leakcurrent_data_Sheffield_13121.png .
  16. Perform error estimations as shown in p.23 of this talk and get plots with ratio errors like this.
  17. Perform similar data-model comparisons for other moduls in Barrel-6 and Endcap outer disk-9. Copy all 16 files in /afs/cern.ch/user/k/kondo/public/Hanna. Do "> source HVON.sh" by specifying the module number at the top lines. In about 20 minutes, many txt and png files will be created. If some years are missing, try again.
  18. Compair with Hamburg model to get plots like module_16121, module_2901.
