Introduction

The Samples

The Summer '08 Production and Winter '09 Production pages say that there should be the following numbers of events for the different samples:
  • Signal
    • ??? GM1g...
  • Photon + Jet
    • 4M Pythia 6 (Summer 08)
    • 500k Pythia 8 (Summer 08)
    • 4M Madgraph (Summer 08?)
    • 25M Madgraph (Winter 09 Fast Sim)

Hints and Tips

  • To switch to a csh shell, simply type csh at the prompt. Easy, eh?
  • Changing CRAB server: In the create_XXXX.csh script, comment out the crab -create and crab -submit commands at the end, and run the steercfg.csh script. Go into the build directory (whatever you named it in steercfg.csh) and change the server crab.cfg file to your new server (e.g. legnaro). Then type crab -create and crab -submit to create and submit your jobs to the new server.
  • Black/whitelisting sites: See here for the parameters to put into the crab.cfg file.
  • Copying from a GRID site: Use, for example

So far using V3 of the jet corrections...

Winter '09 samples found with:

find dataset where dataset like *photonjet* and dataset like *winter09*
Seem to be all GEN-SIM-DIGI-RECO and Fast Simulation. Is it worth looking at these yet?
