    • TRIUMF: Andrew
    • SARA: Alexander
    • PIC: Luis

  • CERN:
    • 3D: Dirk, Maria, Eva
    • ATLAS: Gancho, Florbela

  • General announcements:
    • Licenses request: All requested received, commercial part will begin soon, Dirk will contact each site with details. Formal email from IT management with next procedures to be expected.
    • Workshop: Maria will send a reminder with the updated agenda. Send comments to Maria.
    • Meetings: Maria will take over. Review frequency and time slot: Proposal: 15:30, same frequency???? Probably frequently at the LHC startup – we will pick this up during the workshop.

  • Status Tier0 and Tier1 sites:
    • Tier0: Preparation of the new RAC for the downstream databases. LHCb downstream database will be migrated on Tuesday afternoon, and ATLAS downstream database will be migrated on Wednesday afternoon. Replication will be not available during the intervention.
    • SARA: nothing to report
    • RAL: nothing to report
    • Gridka: LFC migration next Friday. LFC support contacted (Lana).
    • BNL: Migration to 64 bit of the ATLAS database. Reconfiguration of data disk group with a different storage configuration where new storage have been added. Also memory has been increased in the ATLAS cluster (16G per node). OS release changed. The migration took longer than expected (1 day more), due to OS installation issues.
    • NDGF: nothing to report
    • Triumf: nothing to report
    • PIC: nothing to report. New hardware is being configured. Next week PIC will be ready for the migrations, Luis will contact Eva.

  • Experiments:
    • Reliable replicas for ATLAS LFC clouds?
    • PVSS tests from INTR to INT8R. Results were quite positive, 3000 – 3500 LCRs per second. Already tests with new structure, IOT tables.
    • Also tests using the new quadcore database as destination. No improvement in the replication rate. To be analyzed.
    • TAG server: machine is ready, after memory upgrade, machine is unstable. Carmine will contact Florbela when ready.
    • Central catalogs: dashboard, dq2, ... affected by ATLR downtime. Replication to Tier1 sites?
      • Bi-directional streams is not recommended.
      • Transportable tablespaces will require continuous dbas involvement.
      • DataGuard (locally) can be a good solution. But critical application must be moved to a separate database. No resources at the moment.
