  • Phone:
    • RAL: Gordon

  • CERN:
    • 3D: Dirk, Maria, Zbigniew
    • LHCB: Marco
    • FZK: Andreas
    • ARDA: Birger
    • Atlas: David
  • Round table site status:
    • Rutherford is still in good shape
    • BNL are together with DirkG trying to resolve Time-Zone problem.
    • Triumph is waiting for the agreed hardware and setting things up.
    • No update from SARA.
    • Taiwan: new setup being done. Requested on availability date (prediction 1 Sept)

  • LFC replication test discussion deferred to the next meeting, because neither Barbara nor Jean-Phillipe present.

  • Recovery tests:
    • Recovery tests have been successfully performed by Eva, Barbara and Gordon between CERN and Rutherford. Dropped table at Rutherford was restored from backup. Then DB put back on line, streams picked up fine and replicated missing changes.

  • LHCb and ATLAS COOL tests (Marco):
    • System is up and running: RAL and GridKA work fine. Export to IN2P3 finished.
    • Another test was done doing a change of privileges on 10k tables. This worked fine, too but took a couple of hours.
    • Grid jobs have been successfully started but only against the CERN database. Planning to expand to T1 DBs.

  • AOB:
    • Zbigniew will present his work on monitoring at the 3D workshop.
    • David: There were problems setting up Frontier with COOL, possibly caused by settings for compression. Testplan for performance comparison between Cool accessing the DB through Frontier with direct DB access will be shown one of the next meeting/workshop.

  • No meeting next week (and therefore before the workshop) because of bank holiday at CERN.
