  • Streams patches
    • see StreamsPatches
    • in particular the patch for apply: 7033630 APPLY ABORTING WITH ORA-600 (non-rolling)
  • ORA-600, ASSM level 1 block corruption, with instance crash, (rare occurrance, requires simultaneous extending TBS and segment + db_block_checking or db_block_checksum -> result crash (found in Castor atlas stager once)
    • Apply Patch 6647480 fixes this, available and rolling
    • We are interested in the merge patch between 7046187 and 6647480 (work in progress as of 20-3-2009
  • CSS diagwait
    • not rolling, not highly critical but recommended by Oracle. Applied on PDB production at CERN.
    • =crsctl set css diagwait 13 -force =
    • recommended by Oracle (at present) since the introduction of OPROCD on Linux. Note:567730.1
  • Older patches/bundles
    • patch 6746196, QUERY FAILING WITH ORA-942 WHEN OBJECT EXISTS (rolling)
    • CPU OCT08 (rolling)
    • CRS and glibc issues with RHEL4 U6
    • update to RHEL4 U7 (2.6.9-78.0.1 or higher)
    • CRS bundle for 10.2.0.4#1: 7164095 (rolling)

Other patches and bugs found/reported/yet in testing

  • Bug 7331323 - ORA-27302: FAILURE OCCURRED AT: SKGXPVFYMMTU
    • reported by BNL, caused an ASM crash
  • BUG. 6763804, root.sh replaced by 2 lines that run rootadd.sh
    • reported by BNL, work around published by Oracle in Critical Patch Update October 2008 Database Known Issues Doc ID: 735219.1
