PanDA: Production and Distributed Analysis system

Pilots are one of the main PanDA features. Pilots are launched on computing resources before real tasks, they check up their condition, parameters and availability before asking server for real task to launch on them.

PanDA consists of several modules, the most important are:

  1. PanDA server accepts jobs and controls them (including pilots). Installation: PanDAServerInstallation
  2. PanDA server MySQL DB DB behind PanDA server. Installation: PanDAServerDBInstallation
  3. PanDA Monitoring monitoring system.
  4. PanDA apf AutoPyFactory, module which generates and launches pilots. Installation: PanDAAPFInstallation

After installation and configuration, PanDA can be tested by using PanDAClient to submit jobs to it.
