Dear colleagues
We have the pleasure to announce the "First
ReteQuarkonii Workshop (RQW 2010)", which will be held in "La Cité des Congrès" in Nantes (France), from Monday October 25 (2:00pm) to Thursday October 28th (6:00pm) 2010.
This workshop will be divided into 2 general sessions and 5 half-day sessions organized by the following working groups:
- "Cold nuclear matter effects", conveners: Raphael Granier de Cassagnac & Enrico Scomparin
- "Hot nuclear matter effects", conveners: Anton Andronic & Philippe Crochet
- "Soft and hard diffraction at LHC", conveners: Rainer Schicker & Krysztof Piotrzkowski & Joakim Nystrand
- "DataBase on Quarkonia results", conveners: Javier Castillo & Sarah Porteboeuf & Francesco Prino
- "Open Heavy Flavours", conveners: Silvia Masciocchi & Andrea Dainese
The workshop will take place just before the foreseen heavy ion run at LHC. Among the different topics which will be addressed, special attention will be paid to:
i) the presentation of the data base on quarkonia results;
ii) the pp references for quarkonium normalization in
PbPb at 2.75
TeV.
Interested participants are encouraged to provide inputs by contacting the conveners of the working groups.
We encourage you to register on-line (

) as soon as possible. The registration will take place in two phases: pre-registration and final registration after receiving an confirmation e-mail. The maximum number of participants will be 80. Deadline is October 10th 2010.
