updated Linac4 master plan (F. Gerigk)
movable tuners (F. Gerigk)
- material to be delivered to manufacturer (Yves + JM)
CCDTL (F. Gerigk)
- received translations of technical procedures, heat treatment duration was missing + small details, gave green light for support construction apart from heating cycle
- asked to receive welding filler for TIG welding (Said)
collaboration with Spain (F. Gerigk)
- Suitbert is visiting Bilbao to discuss details on possible manufacture of couplers, jacks, post couples, girders, tanks, etc.
cable positions (F. Gerigk)
- meeting in preparation with Jean-Claude Guillaume on where RF antenna cables, and Flexwell will be connected
SM18 – Linac4 test stand (J-M. Giguet, R. Wegner, P. Ugena-Tirado)
- Cables for beam instrumentation tests have been measured.
- The directional coupler has been re-adjusted, this time for maximum directivity for both ports. At a coupling of ~ -52 dB, the best directivity was found.
- P. Baudrenghien measured all pickups and modes of the accelerating band to prepare the low level control of the Linac4 cavities.
- The transmission from the waveguide though the 1st PIMS cavity to the BPM was investigated. Only noise at a level of -110 dB was seen. The BPM seems to be well decoupled from the accelerating mode. Moreover, up to 1.6 GHz, no transmission better -110 dB was measured.
PIMS (R. Wegner)
- Metrology results of the 2 rings for the short module (G_1-2, G_13-14). Both are out of tolerances, in several measurements even more than 5 times.
- Discs are machined with the newly developed tools.
- Once the results are available, a meeting with the CERN workshop will be organised to take a decision how to repair/use the machined parts and how to continue with the qualification.
- Tolerances are being investigated to find our span for acceptance.
PIMS (P. Ugena-Tirado)
- Circuital Model almost finished. Mode frequencies are correct. Field distribution needs to be checked.
