  • optimisation studies
    • move one cell from tank 2 to 3
    • effect of odd number of cells in tank is under discussion
  • LLRF for SM18 test place
    • existing hardware can be used with minor modifications
    • software has to be adapted - at least 3 month work with close colabroation of LLRF group
    • own software solution for test stand, rather than an adapted version from LHC

PIMS

  • Schedule for construction was relaxed by 6 month
  • Decision has to be taken if structures will be welded or brazed.
    • Not jet clear if the reduced rigidity introduced by brazing is tolerable.
    • For the welding option still not clear where to do it (CERN or Juelich)
  • Matlab fitting program ready
  • Test box at test stand broken. Request for repair and other test box for the meantime (action: G. DeMichele)

SPL

  • Close collabroation with ESS, e.g.trainging of ESS staff at CERN facilties.

HOM

  • Calulation of Qex for fundamental bandpass modes using HFSS and MWS (slighty different models). The calulated values differ about 10%.
