  • Bead Pull measurements: difficulty to obtain a field flatness better than 10% on the cold model. An investigation on possible errors affecting these measurements is in progress. DTL_BeadpullMeasurements (GiovanniDeMichele)(FrancescoGrespan)
  • Power Coupler Simulations:(GiovanniDeMichele)
    • a comparison between simulations with and without wave-guide requires to have same mesh inside the tank volume -> maybe in HFSS and MWS it's possible to keep the mesh and join 2 volumes (tank + waveguide)
    • gap E field reduced in the simulation with power coupler -> +0.8% power (+4.3 kW) could be necessary for Tank1 in order to keep the same E0
    • check the comparison between 3D simulations and measurements done for the DTL prototype, in order to verify the simulation reliability
  • Equivalent Circuit:(FrancescoGrespan)
    • measured dispersion curves for cold DTL with 5 and 7 post-couplers is fitted assuming constant post-coupler inductance -> post-coupler frequency as function of the PC length is given just by the capacitance 5and7_PCs_fit_Lp_Const.doc
    • in SNS DTL tuning data for longer drift tubes have shorter PC length (J.Billen), as equivalent circuit shows for stabilization point (without taking into account any coupling between post-couplers) Longer_DTs_Shorter_PCs.doc
  • Tank tubes construction: the company in Dresden accepts the tank tubes manufacturing (SuitbertRamberger)
