Y. Cuvet, F. Gerigk, J-M. Giguet, G. T. Papadaki, K. Schirm, R. Wegner, P. Ugena-Tirado
Jacks (F. Gerigk)
- most likely to be done in Spain
- Suitbert will be the technical contact,
Couplers (F. Gerigk)
- 17 couplers, but no Cu plating in Spain,
- --> we should include an option to add the remaining couplers
- latest offer, 8 months, for machining and welding,
- --> it would be better to do the final welding here to avoid scratches on flanges and problems with the copper plating,
- Suitbert will be technical contact for Spain,
Movable tuners (F. Gerigk)
- stainless steel is shipped (Yves + JM),
- clarifying last details about which small pieces (screws, etc) will be bought by CECOM
CCDTL (F. Gerigk)
- heat treatment cycle for support frames will be < 1 hour, < 580 deg, rise with 50C/hour, cool 20C/hour
- Cost estimate for welding fillers has been received (Yves) and order is ready to go out (waiting for Alexeys green light). These fillers are then to be shipped to BINP and the cost will be borne by BINP.
- visits for assembly of structures are under planning: May/June (20 days, 5 people, 2 modules), October/November (27 days, 5 people, 3 modules), Jan/Feb 2013 (20 days, 5 people, 2 modules)
Cable positions (F. Gerigk)
- the cable location of: RF pick-up, movable tuner connections, water flow signals, etc was discussed, waiting for summary
SM18 – Linac4 test stand (R. Wegner)
- New, Linac4 type, modulator control installed and pulsing
PIMS (R. Wegner)
- Non-conformity list of the 2 rings for the short module finished, details can be seen here: https://edms.cern.ch/document/1178049/
- Beam dynamics requirements are that the beam axis of PIMS cavities stays within +-0.30 mm (Alessandra). In this way, the steerers do not need to be powered. In relality, bigger deviations can be accepted if steerers are used. Alessandra is performing simulations to see how a further aperture reduction will reduce the beam transmission (steep fall off after a certain value expected).
