DTL
- After the vacuum test (1.2*10-6 mBar ) it is ready for bead pull measurements in bld 169. The Bead-Pulling system is installed in place.
- To allows tilt sensitivity measurements the Cu end-cones will be machined with holes to allow bead-pull measurements. At the moment the prototype has Al end-cones.
- The prototype should be ready for HP test in the middle of September.
Bead-Pulling Program
- Works now on slow PC
- Ready to be tested on the prototype. A comparison between the old code and the new one with continuous data-point acquisition will be done.
Power Splitter - Magic T
- The role of the posts and rod in the structure has been studied.
- The dimensions and/or the position of the two posts will be changed to get an asymmetric power splitter.
- Another solution could be the introduction of a short circuit on the port 4 in order to take advantage of the fact that the energy flow out of ports 2 and 3 is out of phase.
- Peak fields in the structure should be checked.
HOM
- First results on chopped beam effects. Plot.
