Jacks (F. Gerigk)
- dimensions of Neff jacks were verified by JM, waiting for new drawings from Benoit,
DTL (J-M Giguet)
- 2 segments of tank 3 are heat treated and shipped to Spain
- 3 segments are expected to be received in August
- Segment 1 of tank 1 is ready for assembly which is planned for next week
SM18 – Linac4 test stand (R. Wegner)
- Mod-Anode divider has been discussed, at the moment the ratio U_anode/U_mod-anode ~ 33%, a ratio of ~56% is desired to match the internal klystron perveance. The optimisation promises to double the available RF output power.
PIMS (R. Wegner)
- Rough machining has been continued last week, now NCBJ has 2 weeks of common holiday.
- Rings M_1-2 and M_13-14 have been machined in CPL but apparently quality issues have been met. Marek proposed to finish the 2 rings for the short module at NCBJ.
- Visual inspection of the brazing test piece has been very positive. Vacuum and ultrasound tests are being prepared.
- Metrology reports of the 4 discs measured have been discussed with the CERN workshop. Discs M_1 and G_2-3, which are nearly conform to the relaxed specifications, will be shipped to CERN for validation. Disc M_6-7 has some critical problems, a re-machining of the assembly diameter 524.720 mm has been demanded to make sure that this discs can be mounted to the adjacent rings in the short module and in cavity M. The nose cone on side 7 will be inspected later. End disc M_14 has a similar problem at the assembly diameter, however it has been decided to wait for the results of the repair of disc M_6-7 before taking a decision how to proceed with end disc M_14.
