Movable Tuners (F. Gerigk)

• finance will conduct a price enquiry among different “distributors” who sell our guiding system. They will not ask, however, to consider a different product.
• it was found that there was an error in the calculations of the forces, which suck the movable tuners into the cavities in case of a power failure or motor-disconnect. The margins turn out to be much smaller and it is considered to apply “more friction”. A test will be made this week on the movable tuners, which are installed in the MEBT line.

DTL (S. Ramberger)

• The machining of the girder T1S1 will be completed this week. Metrology results of all girders are expected by next week.

PIMS (R. Wegner)

• The 2 test rings have arrived in the Soltan Institute (PIMS_welding_11_11.pdf).
• A visit of the brazing experts from the Soltan Institute to CERN for participating in the brazing of the ridged waveguide connection for the Linac4 RFQ is being organised.

SM18 (R. Wegner)

• Modulator tests have been performed, klystron test are foreseen beginning of next week. The installation of a test BPM has been discussed. Jean-Michel will do the vacuum installation. Read-out cable connections are available, just need to be located and connected in the control room.
