Safety file (F. Gerigk)
- Funken asked for drawings, layouts, and some technical data which was provided
CCDTL (F. Gerigk, J-M. Giguet)
- discussing whether to have another intermediate meeting (alignment check) before shipment to CERN,
- altogether 6 modules out of 7 are now at BINP,
- drift tubes for module 5 and 6 are being machined,
- module 3 now tested with Helicoflex joints, and after that module 2 will be mounted on final support,
- assembly table for CCDTL: JM is in contact with a company who does the levelling of the support
mobile tuners (F. Gerigk)
- IKEA test starts end of next week
Helicoflex order (F. Gerigk)
- -> need to clarify what Eric needs, JM will establish a list, Karl will pass the order
SM18 (JM) (J-M. Giguet)
- assembly space is being prepared and needs to be closed by grids
DTL (S. Ramberger)
- Repair pieces for DTL cooling channels have been prepared and sent to CADINOX. Included is a gauge piece for the ultrasonic thickness measurements. CADINOX has been requested to continue with machining of tuner & PC openings with a smaller diameter in the remaining segments.
- Assembly of drift tubes for tank1 is expected to be mostly completed in 2 weeks time. Magnetic measurements, metrology, and vacuum test will follow.
PIMS (R. Wegner)
- Visit of Soltan Institute, Linac4 planning presented which requires 1 PIMS cavity per month from August 2012 onwards. The Soltan Institute considers purchasing a new machine DMU80 for turning and milling operations.
- Vacuum tests of discs are more difficult than previously assumed. The cooling channels must be pressurised while the disc is closed and evacuated for detecting leaks that open up under pressure. The strategy is being discussed to avoid delays in the series production.
