Support, alignment, integration and transport for PIMS modules, 31 May 2010

  • 2 critical areas were identified by J.-P. Corso for the integration of the CCDTL module: (looking downstream) i) on the left with the handling rings: these will be dismounted once the structures are in place, ii) on the right side with the water manifolds for the SPL (see figures below),
  • It was established that the narrow "line of sight corridor" on the left hand side of the accelerating structures is no longer needed for survey. Only in the transition areas between different structure type will be installed a few posts used by the survey team.
  • For the time being we assume that the water manifolds can be put on the floor.


  • J.-P. Corso will reserve this space for the future installation of these manifolds.
  • A. Dallocchio/B. Riffaud will provide the drawings for the alignments jacks to J.-P. Corso for integration.
  • F. Gerigk will forward the stp file with the present CCDTL module geometry to A. Dallocchio,
  • F. Gerigk will provide the weight of one module to transport,
  • A. Dallocchio will establish a list of open questions on the CCDTL support in preparation for the upcoming collaboration meeting with our Russian colleagues,
