At the beginning of your shift check on the withboard special reports about histograms and Data Quality Monitoring. Then you have three possibility: 
   * there is not data taking or the data taking is already started but with a low statystic 
   * a long run is already ongoing 
   * we are getting tests runs.

Each run of more than 100000 events should be flagged by the muon desk shifter ([[DataQualFlag][Shift Online Data Quality Flags]]), to indicate whether the data is usable by each segment of the Muon Detector.
