Description of the lecture

The lecture will give an overview of some selected standards for modular electronics that are relevant for typical data acquisition projects including:

• CAMAC (just a reminder)
• PCI / CompactPCI
• ATCA / uTCA / AMC
• VXS / VPX

Standards for data communication (Ethernet, PCIe, Infiniband, SRIO) will be mentioned briefly.

The "classical" VMEbus will be covered in a separate lecture
