Every Item shall be given a Unique "Barcode" Number.

We should follow the Atlas standard: ATLAS Part Identification, F. Ditus, ATC-OQ-QA-2040.

  • PP = 2 digit project code - ATLAS upgrade project, PP=25 (Atlas was 20)
  • SS = System and Sub-System codes - ATC-OQ-QA-2031 System & Sub-System Codes - where is the numerical equivalent?
  • LLL = Location of Item at first registration as 3 NUMBER code - ATLAS Institute Codes
  • xxxxxxx = sequential serial number (1st digit is reserved as per ATC-OQ-QA-2040)
