Models for collider study di-higgs channel
This page is intended to collect from literature models to phenomenological study of di-higgs production at colliders. From cross sections to events kinematics.
This page is for sure not extensive and it is being written for practical puposes only. If you have comments, suggestions and/or complains please contact by mail:

Resonant production
There are two classes of scenarios we highlight:
Model files
- Resonances not directly related with EWSB. A class of models commonly used as bechmark of this case are Warped Extra Dimension scenarios. The literature exploiting the theory of these scenarios are vast, as well the quantity of reviews. For practical purposes here I just mention this one
as an review of KK-graviton phenomenology written with the same objectif of this twiki, please do not hesitate in go (and cite) also the references listed there if using the benchmark models mentioned here.
- spin-0 resonance related with the break of scale invariance in SM (dilaton-like states). In WED context those are know as Radion. A Madgraph5 UFO model for this model constructed is uploaded to this Twiki HERE. To complement the model we add HERE a script were arrays with with the loop factors in function of radion mass can be read, these need to be introduced as external parameters in the param_card.dat to define the gluon-gluon-radion coupling. The radion particle is named "h2" and the SM higgs named "H". ----- PLEASE USE THIS MODEL ONLY TO GLUON FUSION PRODUCTION MODE, it is not validaded to other modes. This model is an modification of the HiggsEffectiveTheory
model including a singlet scalar particle with radion-like couplings to gluons and photons and the possibility of higgs-radion mixing.
- spin-2 resonance related with exitations of graviton field . In the context of WED those are known as KK-gravitons. Two main different scenarios can be thought:
- the resonance can couple to all SM fields in democratical way. A benchmark example RS1 scenario [], in this case the inclusive production modes are Drell-Yan and gluon fusion. Full interpretations of searches should take into account di-boson and also di-jet and di-lepton channels. This model is implemented in a plethora of generators, a Madgraph5 UFO model can be found HERE
.
- the resonance couples mainly to the Higgs sector, couplings to massless gauge bosons are suppressed and couplings to light fermions can be neglected. A benchmark example is the bulk scenario. A Madgraph5 UFO model for this model constructed based in the model mentioned above is uploaded to this Twiki here.
- spin-0 resonances from extended higgs sectors, directly related with EWSB.In this class of models we can add SUSY-like models.
The unique phenomenological difference of the two scenarios that predict
spin-0 (radion or heavy higgses) for inclusive (gluon fusion) on shell production with di-higgs final state (appart from total cross section) is the total width. Radion can be considered narrow in a wide spectra for of mass hypothesis in a meaningful region of parameter space region while a heavy higgs for example from 2HDM can start to be wide to masses >~ 400 GeV for some parameter space variations.
The phenomenological difference of the two scenarios that predict
spin-2 for inclusive on shell production with di-higgs final state (appart from total cross section) is the production mode (the first is DY +GF and the other only GF). An consideration in total width depend on model parameters what is not the scope of this TWiki.
