Timeline for run 1 publications for Moriond 2016

The top group is focusing on publishing our remaining Run1 data results, and is thus not supporting conference notes. Moriond 2016 is a nice opportunity to show new 8 TeV results and where realistic we encourage teams to target releasing the results in time for Moriond. The timeline below is given as an indication to analysers of the approval schedule in order to have preliminary plots approved after the public reading. A minimum of 1 extra week is usually needed for final sign-off and journal submission. Where possible, we encourage teams to target having the paper on arXiv by the conference.

  • Early December: first version of INT note, conveners make request for EB
  • Before Christmas: Pre-approval in subgroup
    • ~3 weeks to finalise INT note
  • 15th January: Distribution of supporting documentation for Top group approval (need to warn top conveners of intent to come for approval 2 days earlier)
    • min 3 days before approval
  • 20th January: Top approval
    • ~2 weeks to address comments and finalise paper draft
  • 4th February: 1st ATLAS circulation:
    • ~2 weeks to address comments
  • 25th February: 2nd ATLAS circulation
  • 4th March: Public reading
    • allows 1 week to finalise plots
