For the
BurnIn Box instructions:
BurnInBox
If you are restarting the PC, to re-establish the communication with the FC7 boards, the following commands should be executed. (you need to be on the root list)
ksu
rarpd -a
exit
You can test the communication with the board by pinging its IP address as in the example:
ping 192.168.0.12
To find the IP address of the FC7 boards
less /etc/ethers
Configure the FC7
Go to the Ph2_ACF area:
Dec 10, 2021: working directory has changed from /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_LpGBT to /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_Merge
[modtest@lenny01 otsdaq ]$ cd /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_LpGBT
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ source setup.sh
Make sure you can ping the FC7:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ ping 192.168.0.12
(Got the IP address from settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml)
List firmware on SD card:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ fpgaconfig -c settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml -l
For module FS2102, there is bug in
LpGBT t in
I2C masters0, use firmware uDTC_2S_CIC2_lpGBT_allMasters
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ fpgaconfig -c settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml -i uDTC_2S_CIC2_lpGBT_allMasters
To load a new firmware:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ fpgaconfig -c settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml -f PATH_TO_FILE -i FW_NICKNAME
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ fpgaconfig -c settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml -i FW_NICKNAME
Blue light on FC7 blinks at 1Hz if firmware loaded properly.
Connect optical cables to the FC7 according to this table:
Run a test
Go to the right area and set up Ph2_ACF if you haven't already
Dec 10, 2021: working directory has changed from /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_LpGBT to /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_Merge
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ cd /home/modtest/Programming/Ph2_ACF_LpGBT
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ source setup.sh
Get all the options:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ feh_2s_test -h
Run the test:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ feh_2s_test -f settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton.xml --withCIC --skipAlignment -t -m -a
Run the common mode noise test. You should use the trim value obtained in the previous step by updating the run number in the xml file below:
cmtest -f settings/D19CDescription_2Sskeleton_trimmed.xml -m 600 -b
Right now the -m is hard-coded in. If you don't use -b then a lot of canvases will be created.

Run Fabio's root script:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ root -l
root [0] .L StudyBumpDisconnection.C+
root [1] StudyBumpDisconnection("Results/FEH_2S_Skeleton_Run269/Hybrid.root")
Run Fabio's common noise script:
[modtest@lenny01 Ph2_ACF_LpGBT]$ root -l
