System Overview
Hardware Setup
The fibers are connected on the patch panel according to this mapping:
Due to an equipment issue, the connections on CRS #2 at BB5 have been swapped, as indicated by the black letters.
Read-Out System
The read-out system consists of several types of computers with the proper configuration. As shown in the figure
image:CONNECTIVITY.drawio.png, the signal from the front-end cards is sent via fiber to the FELIX machine. Another fiber from FELIX goes to the ALTI module, which is connected to a Single Board Computer. The next level involves communication via the OPC server and configuration using JSON files that describe the FEBs. The final level is the TDAQ software, which consists of an XML file type, the partition.
