US ATLAS VBF/VBS Collaboration

A broad set of physics analyses in ATLAS relies, therefore, on a common signature with potential for common tools and strategies. The key elements for identifying signal events for all these analysis are forward jets, q/g tagging, soft QCD activity and kinematic properties of the event. Several challenges are associated with these elements, ranging from pileup mitigation to calibration strategies and MC modeling issues.
